HOW DOES BAG SUBSCRIPTION WORK?

What happens to my boxes if I do not use them?

You will be able to roll over unused boxes for up to 6 months. There is a maximum of 10 boxes (apparel) or 5 boxes (bags) that you may roll over at any point in time.

What happens if I run out of boxes?

Your membership allows you to rent 1 bag per month. If you would like to try out more styles, simply reach out to our Customer Experience team to purchase extra bags via the in-app chat.

Can I pause my subscription

Yes you may pause your subscription. When you pause your subscription you will not be billed for the subscription from your next billing date onward. All unused boxes will roll over into the following month for up to 6 months and a maximum of 5 boxes can be rolled over at any time. Do note that the number of days that you can pause for will be calculated based on the length of your subscription.

Do I have to pay for cleaning or shipping?

No, your monthly subscription covers all cleaning and express 2-day delivery! It's really easy! When you're ready to swap for your next bag, schedule a return on our app and we'll pick up your box. Once we receive your box, you'll be prompted to choose your next bag.

How long can I rent the bag for?

You can rent the bag for a maximum of 2 months. A late fee of HK$30 per day will be chargeable for every day (inclusive of weekends and public holidays) beyond the 2 months up until the bag is received in our warehouse. This is to ensure equal access to the full range of our designer bag collection.

How do you ensure the bags are authentic?

Our team of authentication experts validates the authenticity of each bag through the highest industry standards and in-house authentication process. We do not accept fake or counterfeit merchandise.

What condition are the bags in?

We only list items in conditions that we would happily buy and use for ourselves. We're fashion lovers too!

Why is there a waitlist? I want to join now!

A waitlist helps us to ensure that there is a wide assortment of bags for every subscriber we on-board to our service. We are currently working hard to build a product that you'll love so stay tuned for updates via your email inbox!

Are there any deposits involved?

Yes but only for Chanel bags. If you choose to rent a Chanel bag, we will require a HK$6000 Deposit Fee on top of the Premium Upcharge. This deposit will be charged on your credit card alongside the Premium Upcharge when you order any bags under those two brands. After your bag has been returned and processed, the deposit will be returned to the original mode of payment within 5 - 10 business days. There will be no deposit required for all other bags.

What is a premium bag?

Premium bags are designer bags that require an additional charge on top of your monthly subscription price. There are different charges for different bags. The additional charge allows you to keep that Premium bag for 30 days and will automatically renew for every 30-days period should you decide to keep the Premium bag. Premium bags can be rented directly from the app.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE BAG GETS LOST OR DAMAGED?

The bag arrived with minor defects! Will I be charged when I return the bag?

Don't worry! All bags are photographed 360 degrees in high resolution and time stamped each time it is sent out and received back in the warehouse. We will know if a defect was not caused by you, so rent from us worry-free! In the event of loss, you must inform us via our in-app chat. We will require a copy of a police report and will have to charge based on its market value.

What happens if I accidentally damage the bag?

Bags are actually not that easy to damage with reasonable care and by treating it like your own.

Under our complimentary repair coverage, you will only be charged if the repair cost exceeds HK$2,000. Repairable damages (light scratches, pen marks, worn corners etc) typically cost up to HK$1,750.

In the unlikely event of irreparable damage, loss or theft, you will be responsible up to the full value of the bag. Please check in with our Customer Experience team via the in-app chat for more information.

In the event of loss, you must inform us via our in-app chat. We will require a copy of a police report and will have to charge based on its market value.

CAN I BUY BAGS FROM STYLE THEORY?

I really like the bag I'm renting right now. Can I buy it?

Yes! If the bag you are currently renting is marked as "available for sale", you may purchase it directly from the app! As all sales are final we encourage you to only purchase bags that you are currently renting so that you can ensure that you are fully satisfied with its condition.

I have designer bags to consign or sell. Would you be interested?

On a selective basis, we accept bags on consignment. All bags are screened by our team of authentication experts to ensure that only genuine bags are accepted. For more details, please visit our consignment page here.
